For The Record – Say What?

Back during the time of Moses, God had given the people an outline of how to live. As any parent knows, when a child can not keep a rule (or may just not want to keep the rule), he begins to figure out a way around it. That’s what God’s people did – they tried to make a ‘work around’ for the various issues in their lives. By the time of Jesus it was a mess. A relationship with God had been rationalized down to a list. If I did these things, God would smile at me. But if I did those other things, then I’d better watch out.
